We started Accounter26 because we lived the problem. As founders ourselves, we spent more time wrestling with QuickBooks than building product. The bookkeeper was expensive. The outsourced firm was slow. The spreadsheet was a mess. So we built the thing we wished existed: an AI agent that does the actual accounting work, continuously, for a fraction of the cost of a part-time hire.

We’re based in Cape Town, South Africa. We’re backed by our own savings and the belief that startup accounting shouldn’t require an accounting degree.
